Home/Process/Form events

A form that fires an event — not a pretty contact box.

Submit on the offer URL records generate_lead in your GA4, with the page path. Ads can import that event. A thank-you page with no event is not a conversion. Based in San Diego, California.

Method mock — not a screenshot of a live GA4 property. Same lander pattern as paid.

The wiring

Name it, fire it, import it, confirm the path.

  1. 01

    Name the conversion

A lead is a submit on this offer URL. Call clicks only if the number on the page is one you answer. A pageview is not a lead.

  2. 02

    Wire the submit to GA4

The handler sends generate_lead (or the name we agree) with the page path. The property stays yours.

  3. 03

Import the same event in ads

When paid is on, Google Ads imports that event. We do not run a parallel pixel you cannot open.

  4. 04

    Confirm path, not homepage

Realtime or DebugView should show the lander — /emergency-ac-repair or /new-patient — not /. Then keep, cut, or rewrite from that.

This sits in Build, then Grow — how we work. The page has to exist first: website design. Paid uses the same event on Google Ads.

Not this

A footer form named “contact” on every URL.

You cannot tell which offer paid. A vanity ROAS number with no event behind it is a report, not a conversion.

You keep

  • GA4. The property stays in your account.
  • Tag manager, if you use it. We work there. We do not hide the container.
  • Ads conversions. Imported from the same event.

Other methods

Events are one procedure. Redirects and GBP are the others.

FAQ

Before the first call

What a form event is, in brief: paid media. Timing and who owns the accounts: how we work.

01

What event name do you use?

A lead on that lander — typically generate_lead with the page path. We do not invent a ROAS number. The event is the conversion.

02

Does a thank-you page count?

Only if the submit also fired an event. A /thank-you/ pageview is not a lead.

03

What if the form is still on WordPress?

We can wire an event on the current form if the theme allows it. If the form does not fire, that is a reason to rebuild — not a reason to pour ads onto it.

04

How do ads and analytics share it?

Same event, your accounts. GA4 marks it. Google Ads imports it. We will not hide the tag manager or hold the property.
